This year we are asking 100% of our students take a heart healthy challenge as we work together to raise money for the American Heart Association.
Step 1- Take the challenge with your student by registering at: JFK HEART HEROES
• Drink water instead of soda and sugary beverages OR
• Exercise for 60 minutes a day OR
• Eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal
Step 2- Make a donation online!
Step 3-Send Emails or Ecards to friends and family asking them to take the challenge and make a lifesaving donation (your student will get credit) to help people with special hearts.
Here’s a link to our matching gifts, many employers will match their employee donations. You can forward this out to your families.
The American Heart association is helping us to create healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please have us save twice as many lives through a matching gift.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Click on the link below and enter your employer's name to find out if your company has a matching gift policy
http://www.matchinggifts.com/aha/
The search engine will direct you to your company’s employee website where you can log in and print out a Matching Gift form.
2. Print out your company’s Matching Gifts form. Please indicate your student’s first and last name and his/her school name on the form.
